Dave Goulson

Dave Goulson is Professor of Biology at the University of Sussex and author of the Sunday Times bestsellers A STING IN THE TALE, THE GARDEN JUNGLE and A BUZZ IN THE MEADOW. He also founded the Bumblebee Conservation Trust in 2006.

For his work in championing the cause of wild bees he was made the Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council's Social Innovator of the Year, awarded the Zoological Society of London's Marsh Award for Conservation Biology, elected a Fellow of the Royal Society of Edinburgh and given the British Ecological Society Public Engagement Award.

As far back as 2015, he made BBC Wildlife Magazine's list of the top 50 most influential people in conservation. He's also been an effective lobbyist behind the European Union's ban of neonicotinoid pesticides.
