Jean Kwok is the internationally bestselling author of Girl in Translation, Mambo in Chinatown, Searching for Sylvie Lee and The Leftover Woman, and contributor to the Sunday Times bestseller, Marple: Twelve New Stories. Her work has been published in twenty countries and she has been selected for numerous honours, including the Sunday Times EFG Short Story Award shortlist. She is fluent in Chinese, Dutch and English, and currently lives in the Netherlands.

Nikhil Krishnan is a Fellow in Philosophy at Robinson College, Cambridge. He did his doctorate in Philosophy at Balliol College, Oxford. His essays and reviews have appeared in the New Yorker, New Statesman, Daily Telegraph and Literary Review.

Michelle de Kretser was born in Sri Lanka and emigrated to Australia as a teenager. She was educated in Melbourne and Paris. She is the author of six other novels, most recently Scary Monsters, which won the 2023 Rathbone Folio Prize. She has also won the Miles Franklin Award (twice) and has been longlisted for both the Man Booker and Orange Prize. She lives in Sydney.

László Krasznahorkai was born in Gyula, Hungary, in 1954. He has written 14 novels and won multiple awards including the Nobel Prize in Literature for 2025, the National Book Award for Translated Literature in 2019 for Baron Wenckheim's Homecoming, the 2015 Man Booker International Prize for lifetime achievement and the 2024 Prix Formentor. Several of his most famous novels, including Satantango and The Melancholy of Resistance, were turned into films by the director Béla Tarr. His books have been translated into forty-two languages, and his most recent, Herscht 07769, was published in 2024. He lives in the hills of Pilisszentlászló in Hungary.

Jarett Kobek is a Turkish-American writer living in California. His novella ATTA was called 'highly interesting,' by the Times Literary Supplement, has appeared in Spanish translation, been the subject of much academic writing and was a recent and unexplained bestseller in parts of Canada.

Yun Ko-eun was born in Seoul in 1980. Her short story 'Piercing' won the Daesan Literary Award for College Students the year she graduated from university. She received the 2008 Hankyorek Literature Award for her novel The Zero G Syndrome and in 2015 her short story collection Aloha won the Kim Yong Ik Novel Prize.

Martin Kohan was born in 1967 in Buenos Aires, where he now lives. He is a novelist and writer of essays including one on Walter Benjamin. He teaches in Patagonia at the University of Trelew. A previous novel, Seconds Out[9781846686375], was published by Serpent's Tail in 2010.

Martin Kongstad has worked for many years as a journalist, columnist, culture writer and food critic at Denmark's leading newspapers and magazines, and has written for film, television and theatre. His debut collection of short stories Han danser på sin søns grav (He Dances on his Son's Grave) won the 2009 Debutant Prize. He grew up in Copenhagen and lives today in Nørrebro. Am I Cold is his first novel.

Christina Kovac worked for seventeen years managing Washington, DC newsrooms and producing crime and political stories in the District. Her career as television journalist began with Fox Five's Ten O'Clock News, and after that, the ABC affiliate in Washington. For the last nine years, she worked at NBC News, where she worked for Tim Russert and provided news coverage for Meet the Press, the Today show, Nightly News, and others. Christina Kovac lives with her family outside of Washington, DC. The Cutaway is her first novel.

Chris Kraus is the author of the novels Aliens and Anorexia, I Love Dick, and Summer of Hate as well as Video Green: Los Angeles Art and the Triumph of Nothingness and Where Art Belongs. A Professor of Writing at the European Graduate School, she writes for various magazines and lives in Los Angeles.

Jeremy Kourdi is a consultant and author of seven business books. He has worked with leading business organisations, including The Economist Group, London Business School and the UK Institute of Management.

Dr Bernie Krause is a musician and naturalist. He has traveled the world recording the sounds of creatures and environments large and small, enabling thousands of people to hear the sounds of the remotest parts of the world. He provided sound background for Rosemary's Baby and Apocalypse Now and has worked with, among others, Sir George Martin, George Harrison, and, on the cult film Performance, Mick Jagger. He lives in California.

Leon Kreitzman is a consultant and biologist and the author of 24 Hour Society.

Christian Kracht is a Swiss novelist whose work has been translated into thirty languages. His novels include Faserland, 1979, Imperium – which was the recipient of the Wilhelm Raabe literature prize, and one of Publisher's Weekly ten best books of 2015 – and, most recently, The Dead, which won the Swiss Book Prize and the Hermann Hesse Award.
