Tim Burrows is a journalist at the Guardian. A recurring subject in his writing is society, politics and Essex. His short story 'Broadgate,' set between the county's marshland and the City of London, is included in the Influx Press anthology, An Unreliable Guide to London. Through the years he has written for a wide range of publications including the New Statesman, Vice, Telegraph Magazine, Dazed & Confused, the Quietus and Somesuch Stories. He lives in Essex.
